Nestled in Highland Heights, Sprinkles is where the bakers handcraft the cupcakes from artisan ingredients. They bake in small batches and create a flavor for every palate. Founder Candace Nelson is a former investment banker who decided to turn her passion for baking into a career. She's a judge on Cupcake Wars and has many celebrity fans, including Ryan Seacrest, Blake Lively, and Oprah Winfrey. The cupcakes feature the bakery's signature swirl. The flavors rotate and may include banana, vegan red velvet, and triple cinnamon.

Crave Cupcakes 

Crave offers a gourmet twist on a classic favorite. It's voted the best cupcakes in Houston and enjoys being a part of special occasion celebrations. The bakers start their day early. They slice seasonal fruits and prepare house-made vanilla bean extract. The bakery gains recognition from Texas Lifestyle Magazine, and because the flavors rotate daily, you never know what you are going to find. Choices may include strawberry, salted caramel, and old-fashioned birthday cake. 

Cupcake Kitchen

After watching a few baking shows, Patrice Farooq became inspired to open Cupcake Kitchen. She has expanded twice since opening, and her banana pudding is Houston's best-kept secret. The cupcakes feature a signature buttercream or cream cheese frosting, and Patrice takes pride in making everything from scratch. Flavors include German chocolate, glazed carrot, and butter pecan.
