Yellow Rose Distilling

When a few friends talked about creating something new, Yellow Rose Distilling was born. It was the first legal whiskey distillery in Houston, and is named after the woman who legend claims helped Sam Houston win the battle for Texas' independence from Mexico. Enhance your visit with one of the daily tours. They're offered on the hour, Tuesday through Saturday, and cover the award-winning offerings and other topics. After the tour, enjoy the distillery's famous Outlaw Bourbon. It boasts warm caramel and vanilla overtones and "breaks all the traditional bourbon laws."

Giant Texas Distillers

"Born in Texas, raised in Houston," Giant Texas Distillers is found inside what was once Uncle Ben's rice company. All of the spirits are distilled and matured in the Lone Star State. Visitors can learn about the grain-to-glass process during a fun, immersive tour. Sampling some exclusive spirits is included, and reservations must be booked 24 hours in advance. The tasting room offers a casual setting. It's where strangers become friends, and there's never a dull moment at Giant Texas Distillers.

Clutch Distilling

Houston native Eric Worrell Jr. is passionate about rum. He founded Clutch Distilling to help a loved one with a chronic illness, and today, he makes donations to the Lupus Foundation. Clutch offers both indoor and outdoor seating. You'll also find fun games and can enjoy a little friendly competition before sipping some delicious drinks. Rum offerings include Chandelier, 24 Karat, and Shine N Grind.
